| No | 13 | 57% |

| Yes | 19 | 79% |
| No | 5 | 21% |
4. If you participated in club rides, how do you think they went, and do you have any suggestions?
- Probably need more recreational level rides. Few can handle 70+ miles at a decent pace.
- you guys rock
- very well
- The ones I went to were well organized.
- went okay
- I participated in the joint rides with the spinergy group and think they went very well
- we ride every sunday from thomasville 2pm
- Routes were good
- Fine fun for the most part. A couple times, when the crowd was very orderly and well-mannered on a “group, noone left behind” ride, the A guys didn’t keep the “promise”. Embarassing and humiliating for B+ folks–if it is a “group” ride,
then everyone should come in together. - I only rode the Labor Day ride which started at High Point Hospital. It was just fine and food was collected for West End Ministries.
- I rode in the event benefiting Open Door Ministries. It was my first ride ever. I think I came in last but I finished the 50K. The event was great with much stronger participation than I expected. Thanks for marking the path on the road. It worked really
well. - The rides went well. If I were going to do anything to improve them, I would not have them in High Point. Too much traffic
- They were ok
- very enjoyable.
maybe do not stop as often during the rde.
- Extremely well
5. If you did not participate in any club rides, why not?
- They were not convenient for us in High Point
- would have like to have done more but they were when I had to work
- Speed of rides to fast for me
- Too busy last year with work.
- Most of the rides were too far for me to Travel
- n/a
- schedule & perceived difficulty of ride
- Might would have done more if I had none more of the riders
6. Did you visit the club’s website?
| Yes | 23 | 92% |
| No | 2 | 8% |
7. Do you have any suggestions for improving the website?
- While there is lots of info, it is very cluttered and hard to navigate. Very difficult to find your way around.
- more training tips, forwards
- no it great as is
- no
- How about using a larger font?
- maybe on the membership page have the option for members to put their name and town they live in, so if you are looking for someone to ride with you might be able to get in touch.
- Probably could use more of our own riders’ input
- Great site.
Keep up the good work.
- Not right now
8. Are you interested in volunteering for club projects?
| Yes | 10 | 41% |
| No | 13 | 59% |
9. If interested in volunteering for club projects, in what capacity?
- wherever needed
- Unsure
- whatever I can
- help out at races
- n/a
- I will try to help at time trials this year.
- support
- Try to possibly get more youth interested.
- I’d be interested in helping put together a Mountain training “week” (or “days”) along the lines of Bill and Greg’s format.
10. What is your overall opinion of the club’s first year?
| Poor | 3 | 13% |
| Fair | 6 | 26% |
| Good | 13 | 57% |
| Excellent | 2 | 8% |
11. What things did you like? What improvements would you suggest?
- 1 When the club put its mind to it, good things happened. Too often, however, whether intended or not, the club seemed elitist and structured more as a 100% racing team. Also, the rank and file rider seemed to have little input into everyday matters. Could you not have gotten a larger cross section involved in the jersey design?
- The kits, the camaraderie, and the service at various events were what I liked.
- more support for race team more training rides for race team
- Need more rides that include “B” and “C” riders
- Club meetings
- suport more non race ride
- Kits were a little too busy.
- the timely info regarding training rides and upcoming competitive rides was very good. Club policy regarding reimbursement for entry fees and financial support for races and racers has been totally lacking. No financial club statement has been offered.
- Better Quality uniforms, these were ill fitting at best. Do something for the guys that are racing every weekend. Where is the sponsership money going?? If we are going to pay for the uniforms then lets get some good stuff for a little bit more.
- collecting food for the hoomeless.
- Liked that I was able to expand some of my cycling activities.
Don’t understand the impression that Spinergy doesn’t have a place in the overall organization, seems to me that people aren’t communicating very well.
- I tried the Thursday PM ride once and was thoroughly smoked by the other participants. I thought you had “B” rides for recreational riders. Generally speaking, I believe the club would benefit from being more inclusive.
- Liked the Saturday rides page. Need to keep putting out the meeting notes.
- We may need to try to get more local exposure? Publicity?
- special rides..july 4th, labor day etc.
weekly club rides. add a “b” saturday morning ride.
12. Do you plan on re-joining?
| Yes | 18 | 75% |
| No | 6 | 25% |
13. If no, why?
- I rarely saw evidence that the club was interested in promoting its stated mission. Again, it appears to be more of a race-oriented club. That is certainly fine, but not for most people since they are not racers.
- don’t want to race, which seems to be the
clubs only purpose - I don’t have time to support a bike club and because I am already involved with biking and benevolent biking causes.
- I’m not a member but may join this year based on my “Ride For Hunger” experience.
