    Folks,

I've never ridden tubular tires and am in the process of building up a couple of sets of tubular wheels to try. Do any of you have any particular tire recommendations? Also, would they be better used in Crits, Road Races, Time Trials, or Mountain Centuries?

    Thanks,
    Greg Ellis

Hi Greg, this is a link to best article I've ever read about tire rolling resistance. there's tables at the bottom of the page. I've used Tufos - bulletproof but slow, and Continental Competitions which are definitely faster. I just did get some Veloflexes to try.

Here is some more rolling resistance data from BikeTechReview.com. Unfortunately they don't give any data about flat resistance, you may need to check RoadBikeReview.com for that info.

Be sure to check their forums for updates. I saw data for the new Michelin Pro3 Race clincher the other day.
