Pedal the Piedmont is not just another bike ride, but it is a GREAT bike ride with fun events for the whole family! 
The Rotary Club of Kernersville, North Carolina is proud to sponsor a premier cycling event, Pedal the Piedmont, on June 13th, 2009. We expect this inaugural ride to incite cyclists to seek out this event in future years, because of the commitment of the Rotary Club of Kernersville to safety, fun, great routes and even better food. In the tradition of exceptional community service of the Rotary Club of Kernersville, we expect this event to provide funds to support the youth of our community.
Starts at the Dudley Inn

Saturday May 9th is the third annual bike ride to benefit Relay 4 Life of Guilford County. Registration is at 8am and the ride will begin at 8:30 from Spinz Bicycle in High Point. There will be 21, 37 and 53 mile options. Hope to see you there.

Ride Information:
Ride begins / ends at Pleasant Grove UMC. 8131 Old US Hwy 64, Lexington, NC 27292
8, 25 & 50 mile routes

Participants should sign in from 7am – 8am
Bike ride will start at 8am sharp (rain or shine).
All participants will receive a course map and a participant number.
Refreshments are available at rest stops.
Spaghetti lunch will be served following the ride.

On Saturday November 1st VeloProject.com is sponsoring a not for profit bicycle ride with all proceeds going to Open Door Ministries in High Point. This benefit ride has 30 and 60 mile options. Registration starts at 8:00 A.M and the ride will start at 9:00 A.M. on Saturday, November 1st leaving from the Golden Corral Restaurant right across the street from the Oak Hallow Mall. Registration will consist of $15 or a larger gift if you prefer and a minimum of two cans of food. At registration you will receive a ticket for a buffet lunch at the Golden Corral immediately following the ride. All proceeds will go to Open Door Ministries.
Come join all the fun with your friends for a great benefit ride, lunch, and fellowship. Thank you for supporting Open Door Ministries and the community it serves.

Join us on Saturday, November 1st for a Ride for Hunger to benefit Open Door Ministries. 
Open Door Ministries is a non-profit organization based in High Point, North Carolina. Open Door Ministries provide help for those in need, whether through their emergency services help, through their Father’s Table Food Kitchen, or through the Open Door Shelter, an emergency shelter for men.
Registration costs $15 and a minimum of two cans of food or other non perishable food items. We will meet in the parking lot of Golden Corral in High Point, outside of Oak Hollow Mall. Registration will begin at 8:00am and the ride will start at 9:00am. You will have your choice of a 30 or 60 mile route. Both routes are mainly flat with an exception of a few slight hills. After the ride, you can enjoy a delicious buffet lunch at Golden Corral. You will receive your meal ticket when you register before the ride. This includes buffet lunch, drink, and tip. Present your ticket to the cashier.

When: Monday, September 1st at 8:00 AM
Where: Fitness Center in High Point (behind High Point Regional Hospital at corner of Lindsay St. & Quaker Lane)
What: 60 mile and 35 mile bike rides, cue sheets will be provided at the start. (The 60-mile route will venture to picturesque country roads in Randolph County).
Please bring: 2 or more cans of food or other non-perishable food items; and/or monetary donation. (Monetary donations may be provided in cash, or check payable to West End Ministries).
100% of all donations to benefit the Food Ministry program of West End Ministries in High Point. For more information on the Food Ministry and other programs at West End, please visit http://www.westendministries.org/foodmin.html
If you are unable to attend, you may drop off food and/or monetary donations prior to ride day at either the Fitness Center, or Bicycle Toy & Hobby. (This option can also be used for those riding their bikes to the start to save lugging cans around).
The ride is not limited to VeloProject.com members and is open to all. Please invite anyone who may be interested.
